# Thread Limitations

> Thead Limitations Affecting Static Residential (ISP) Pay/GB Proxies

Multiple threads represent the number of sessions available at the same time.

* Each time you send a request through a proxy, it creates a session.
* If you send multiple requests at the same time, you are running multiple concurrent sessions.
* **Static residential (ISP) Pay/GB** proxies are limited up to **`10000`** threads.

  Browsing webpages may generate multiple threads even with a single session to load various resources.

  ### Thread limits per proxy user

  The number of limited threads is distributed equally among all proxy users you have.

  For example, if you have `2` proxy users – each proxy user will have a limit of `5000` concurrent threads.
