What’s the best setup for Craigslist ad posting?

  • Use different accounts for each region.
You will need to register accounts using the proxy for a specific region to minimize the risk of being blocked or ghosted on Craigslist.
  • Use city-specific proxies to post in the appropriate region.
For this, either use our city endpoints (New York | Los Angeles | Chicago | Houston | Miami | London | Berlin | Moscow) or Advanced parameters to specify a city that’s not listed above. Use sticky ports for ad posting and rotating ports to scrape data.

IP Availability

Backconnect entry node does not guarantee the IP availability of cities at all times, as the IP pool varies in those that do not have their own endpoint.

What are the best practices when posting ads on Craigslist?

One ad per section per 48 hours.
  • A safe rule to avoid getting flagged/ghosted.
    • Localize ads for each region.
    • Avoid spamming the same ad. Nowadays, anti-bot systems are clever enough to recognize such spam, and doing the opposite will result in all of the accounts getting flagged/ghosted.
    • Don’t post everything at once.
To remain undetected, it’s best to spread out the postings randomly.
