ID Verification
Quickly and easily authenticate your identity to access additional features.
To keep our platform secure and compliant, some users are required to complete a verification step before accessing certain features.
We offer a couple of verification options, depending on your setup:
ID verification (individual users)
This option is designed for individual users.
You’ll be asked to:
- Upload a valid identity document (passport, ID card, or driver’s license)
- Take a quick selfie for identity confirmation
This helps us confirm that the account belongs to a real person and prevents misuse of the platform.
Business verification (KYB form)
If you’re using Decodo for business purposes, you can skip individual ID checks and complete a KYB (Know Your Business) form instead.
This option is built for companies, agencies, and teams – because verifying one employee doesn’t really tell us much about how a business operates.
In the KYB form, you’ll provide:
- Company details (name, registration, etc.)
- Use case information (how you plan to use our services)
- Target websites or platforms (if applicable)
This allows us to:
- Verify your business as an entity
- Better understand your use case
- Ensure compliance without slowing your team down
Which one should you choose?
- Go with ID verification if you’re an individual user
- Choose the Business (KYB) form if you’re representing a company or team

Accessing bigger plans
Verify your ID to access enterprise proxy plans directly from your dashboard. Learn more here.
If you have already verified your ID in the account settings, purchasing an enterprise plan requires you to complete the verification process by agreeing to our terms and conditions in the pricing section.
Accessing target groups
By completing ID verification, you can access target categories that are blocked by default with residential proxies related to mailing, business, and streaming. Learn more here.
Verify your ID
You can verify your ID and check your verification status by visiting the ID verification section of your dashboard under Account settings.
There are a few cases when the ID verification could be declined
- Geographical restrictions. We don’t provide services for users from Russia or Belarus. Learn more about suspended locations in our FAQs.
- Age restrictions. To access our services, users must be over 18 years old. More about age restrictions can be found in our FAQs.
- Document authenticity. We decline all ID verification requests when we identify the submission of fake documents.
