Fair Usage Policy
The Fair Usage Policy affects Dedicated ISP Proxies to maintain service consistency.
Multiple threads represent the number of sessions available at the same time.
- Each time you send a request through a proxy, it creates a session.
- If you send multiple requests at the same time, you are running multiple concurrent sessions.
Browsing webpages may generate multiple threads even with a single session to load various resources.
Dynamic Thread Limitations
To ensure fair use of services and maintain optimal performance for all customers, we apply the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for Dedicated ISP proxies when both of the following conditions are met:
- Traffic per individual IP exceeds
100GB, AND - Total traffic usage for a subscription period exceeds
10TB.
How FUP Limitations WorkOnce your usage exceeds the traffic limits described above, we take measures to ensure fair usage across all users and reduce the number of concurrent sessions available for the remaining subscription period.
The dynamic threshold is calculated as
100GBfor every IP. For example:
If you have purchased
200IPs, the FUP threshhold will be20TB(100GBtimes200). Once this limit of20TBis reached and the fair usage policy applied, concurrent sessions will be reduced from2000threads to a limit of10.However, If you have purchased
10IPs, the FUP limitations will only take affect if you exceed10TBof data usage.
- The FUP limitations are reset after a new subscription period is started.
Default Thread Limitations
- Up to
200IPs -2000threads. 201to1000IPs -3000threads.1001to2000IPs -5000threads.2001to3999IPs -8000threads.4000IPs or more -10000threads.
Thread Limits per Proxy UserThe amount of limited threads is distributed equally among all proxy users you have.
For example, if you have
3000IPs (giving you8000concurrent threads) and have4proxy users – each proxy user will have a limit of2000concurrent threads.
