This short guide will teach you how to change the DNS addresses on your macOS device.

Navigate to System Settings by either pressing the Apple menu icon or using cmd + spacebar.

Click on the Network menu in the settings sidebar.

Select your active network and click Details….

On the pop-up window sidebar, you will find the DNS button.

Click the + button to enter your preferred DNS addresses.
We recommend using either Google or Cloudflare DNS addresses:
  • Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
  • Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1

Press OK to save the changes.
