IP Retention Logic
Understand Your IP Retention Logic During Subscription Changes
If you renew, upgrade, or downgrade your subscription, your existing proxy IPs will remain the same.
On Renewal
When you manually or automatically renew your subscription, your proxy IPs will remain the same, unless you've changed the location settings.
Examples
Before renewing, you can adjust the number of IPs or the location on the dashboard pricing page. These changes affect whether your IPs are retained.
| Before renewal | Adjusted on pricing page | After renewal |
|---|---|---|
| 100 US IPs | No changes made to IP quantity or location | Same 100 US IPs retained |
50 Random IPs | No changes made to IP quantity or location | Same Random IPs retained |
| 80 DE IPs | Changed location to US, no changes made to IP quantity | 80 DE IPs replaced with new 80 US IPs |
On Upgrade
When you upgrade your subscription, you will keep the old proxy IPs, and additional IPs will be added to your list, unless you change the location of your old IPs.
Examples
| Before upgrade | Upgrade to | Adjusted on pricing page | After upgrade |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 US IPs | 200 IPs | Kept 100 IPs in US slot, added 100 to DE slot | Same 100 US IPs + 100 new DE IPs |
50 Random IPs | 100 IPs | Increased Random slot to 100 IPs | Same 50 Random IPs + 50 new Random IPs |
| 15 IPs (10 US + 5 AU) | 20 IPs | Increased US slot to 12, AU slot to 8 IPs | Same 10 US + same 5 AU IPs + 2 new US IPs + 3 new AU IPs |
| 80 IPs (50 US + 30 DE) | 100 IPs | Changed all locations: 60 IPs to GB slot and 40 IPs to AU slot | All old IPs replaced with 60 new GB IPs + 40 new AU IPs |
On Downgrade
When you downgrade your subscription, IPs are removed from the end of the list. That means the earliest-assigned IPs will be retained, unless you change the location of your old IPs.
Examples
| Before downgrade | Downgrade to | Adjusted on pricing page | After downgrade |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 US IPs | 50 IPs | Decreased US slot to 50 IPs | First 50 US IPs retained, last 50 US IPs removed |
50 Random IPs | 10 IPs | Decreased Random slot to 10 IPs | First 10 Random IPs retained, last 40 Random IPs removed |
| 20 IPs (10 US + 10 AU) | 5 IPs | Decreased US slot to 3, decreased AU slot to 0, and increased GB slot to 2 | First 3 US IPs retained + new 2 GB IPs, last 7 US IPs and all 10 AU IPs removed |
| 60 IPs (40 GB + 20 DE) | 30 IPs | Changed all locations: 20 IPs to US slot and 10 IPs to AU slot | All old IPs replaced with 20 new US IPs + 10 new AU IPs |
