The operating system specification feature can be enabled with an active Residential plan. To request access to this feature, contact us at support@decodo.com. Note that you may have to complete a KYC form.
To specify the operating system with the residential proxy, you have to include the os variable in the proxy username. The operating system name is specified after the variable, like so: os-windows.

Supported Operating Systems

The following operating systems are possible to target with residential proxies:
  • macos
  • windows
  • linux
  • ios
  • android


Examples

Username:password

Adding the os-xxxx to your username will allow for operating system targeting. An example of a rotating proxy that returns IPs from macOS devices:

Whitelisted IP

Adding the os-xxxx to your proxy will allow for operating system targeting. An example of a rotating proxy that returns IPs from windows devices:

Note

The IP pool may be narrower with the os variable.
