What is WADE X?
WADE X is an antidetect browser that lets you create and manage separate browser profiles, each with its own fingerprint, settings, and proxy configuration. It’s designed for workflows that require multiple isolated browser environments. WADE X supports HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 proxies, making it easy to route individual browser profiles through Decodo proxies for location specific or anonymous browsing.Getting started
Before proceeding, ensure you have:- No VPN or proxy active.
- Your Decodo proxy endpoint and port (e.g.,
us.decodo.com:10001). - Your proxy username and password (or a whitelisted IP set).
Browser profile with a Decodo proxy
Create or edit a WADE X browser profile and configure it to use a Decodo proxy.1
Open WADE X and click NEW PROFILE in the top-left corner.

2
On the right side of the profile entry, click the three-dot menu, and select Edit profile.

3
In the CONNECTION section, select the connection type that matches your Decodo proxy protocol:
- HTTP for an HTTP or HTTPS proxy.
-
SOCKS5 for a SOCKS5 proxy.

4
Copy the proxy details from your Decodo dashboard.In WADE X, enter them in the following format:
host:port@username:password.For example: gate.decodo.com:10001@username123:pass123.Enter the username exactly as provided, including any location or session parameters.
5
Click CHECK PROXY & GEO to test the connection.

6
If the proxy connects successfully and the displayed IP address and location match your selected Decodo proxy, click SAVE to store the profile or SAVE & RUN to save and launch it immediately.
7
Click the green play icon of the saved profile to launch it.In the new window, visit ip.decodo.com to check if the displayed IP address matches your proxy location and the setup is successful.

Alternative setup: Proxy Manager
Save and reuse multiple Decodo proxies across browser profiles instead of configuring each one manually.1
Open WADE X and click on PROXY (Cmd/Ctrl+P) in the top-right corner.
2
Click NEW PROXY to add one Decodo proxy manually or IMPORT FROM LIST to import multiple proxies at once. You can download your proxy endpoint list as a .txt file from the Decodo dashboard for easy importing.Enter your Decodo proxy in the following format:
protocol://username:password@host:port.For example: http://username123:pass123@gate.decodo.com:10001.
3
Click the connection icon on your browser profile entry to select one or more proxies imported into the Proxy Manager.

Common issues
Proxy check fails
Make sure:- the connection type (HTTP or SOCKS5) matches your Decodo proxy;
- the host, port, username, and password are entered correctly;
- there are no extra spaces in the proxy string;
- your Decodo authentication method (username:password or IP whitelisting) is configured correctly.
The proxy location is incorrect
If CHECK PROXY & GEO shows an unexpected location:- verify the selected location in the Decodo dashboard;
- confirm your username includes any required location parameters;
- run CHECK PROXY & GEO again to refresh the result.
The IP address doesn’t change
If the launched browser still shows your local IP:- make sure the profile isn’t configured to use DIRECT;
- save the profile and relaunch it;
- verify the connection from inside the WADE X profile using ip.decodo.com.

Country targeting
Country targeting
Use the
gate.decodo.com endpoint and port 7000 for SOCKS5 residential and mobile proxies. Note that country endpoints, such as us.decodo.com, won’t work with SOCKS5 residential or mobile proxies.Instead, to target a specific location, specify it in your username using advanced parameters. For example, user-username123-country-us will connect to the USA pool.Proxy rotation
Proxy rotation
To maintain a sticky SOCKS5 residential or mobile proxy session, include a session parameter in the username. Otherwise, the proxy will rotate, even if a
sessionduration parameter is set.For example, user-username123-session-abc123-sessionduration-30 will connect to the same session. The session ID can be any string of your choice.Direct IP
Direct IP parameter support
Direct IP parameter support
If you purchase an IP list, you can specify which IP to connect to using the
direct_ip parameter in the proxy username, e.g., user-username123-ip-x.x.x.x.Supported products include datacenter Pay/IP, dedicated datacenter, ISP Pay/IP, dedicated ISP plans.Products that provide access to the full proxy pool, such as residential proxies, don’t support this parameter.IP:port format
IP:port format
By default, Decodo proxies don’t support the
IP:port format. Use the endpoint hostname instead, e.g, us.decodo.com:10101.If needed, you can use the IP:port workaround, but it’s only a temporary solution and may need to be repeated after future setup changes.
