Chrome Browser Proxy Setup Guide

Proxy Setup

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three dots ... icon > Settings.

  1. Click on System > Open your computer's proxy settings.

  1. Edit your proxy settings. This step will vary as it depends on your operating system: Windows or macOS.

Windows

  • Enable Manual proxy settings in the proxy tab of Network and Internet.
  • Check Don't use the proxy server for your local (intranet) network under Proxy server.
  • Add endpoint in the Address section(e.g. us.decodo.com).
  • Add port in the Port section (e.g. 10000).
  • Click Save.

Proxy Configuration on Windows


  1. When accessing a website, enter your proxy user credentials.
  2. Check the IP using the Chrome browser on ip.decodo.com.

macOS

  1. Select the proxy you want to edit on the right side of the page (HTTP/S).
  2. Add endpoint in the Server field (e.g. gate.decodo.com).
  3. Add port in the Portfield (e.g. 10001)
  4. (Optional) Insert proxy username and password in the Username and Password fields.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Check the IP using the Chrome browser on ip.decodo.com.
